Atelier Vierkant presents the fascinating world of amphoras

At the 61st edition of the Salone del Mobile, Atelier Vierkant presents the amphora collection. With roots in the Persian and Mesapotamic eras, with echoes from ancient Greek and Roman vessels, we present new interpretations of the amphoreus, a type of container with a pointed bottom and distinctive shape and size that fit tightly - and therefore very securely against one another in storage rooms and packages. Amphorae were used in large numbers for the transport and storage of various products, both liquid and dry, but mainly wine.

Chief designers Annette Lantsoght and Stéphanie Busard both worked on developing the shapes. They came with a few twists on the TAJ shapes with both a tall pillar vessel and a low bowl. In addition, the KTL, KRK and GZL are expressions of amphorae with old contour lines.

In addition to the new collection, Atelier Vierkant is highlighting new versions of the Adamas and Anthos ships and works of art in the form of wall tiles.
