Plumon is based on the concept of clothing, dressing and undressing furniture.

Applying this tailoring approach, Patricia Urquiola designs a new family of furniture with echoes of the typically Brazilian attitude, expressed in lush, spacious and comfortable furniture, reminiscent in some ways of distant landscapes and cultures.

For Plumon, Urquiola designed a lightweight frame onto which a custom-made padded dress is "moored" as a wrap. This ribbed padding, marked by seams, is both an aesthetic feature and contributes to the comfort of the product. The fit is the key to the aesthetic. With a few simple steps, the dress is attached to the rigid teak frame and hugs it. Extreme ease of use, which is a real plus for an outdoor collection.

The padded "dress", which also generously covers the armrests and the outside of the backrest, also visually highlights the comfort.
