Designer: Marc Merckx

Marc Merckx's Hexagon tables prove that nature offers inexhaustible inspiration for new designs. He ultimately found inspiration in the Giant's Causeway, a rock formation in Northern Ireland that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The teak base of the side table refers to the hexagonal basalt columns of the world wonder. Merckx also swears by sophisticated proportions: hence the honeycomb with its perfect symmetry as a second source of inspiration. The Hexagon tabletop is made of glazed lava stone with a subtle craquelé effect that makes each tabletop unique. The hand-applied glaze makes the stone water, heat, frost, UV and stain resistant. Hexagon is just as beautiful on its own as it is in a multi-headed formation.
